In His Steps International provides business training, seed capital (not loans) and support to help people, especially women at risk, to launch small business, "micro enterprises".  We provide seed money instead of loans because we are committed to working with the poorest of the poor — people who are unable to obtain micro loans.

Micro-enterprise development, as a ministry, focuses on job creation and income generation through small-scale enterprises. By teaching the poor business skills and providing them with start-up costs, we enable the poor to become self sufficient and to attain a higher level of self respect.

Why is our focus on women at risk? Cambodia  remains one of the poorest  countries in Asia with high unemployment and a Corrupt Government.  Many families  resort to “selling” women and girls into prostitution. Many people wonder what kind of parent  would sell their child, or why a parent would send their child to the factory rather than a classroom.  Imagine a family who attempts to support their family on less than a dollar a day. Choosing to "sell" girls into prostitution is more of an economic issue rather than a moral issue. Micro enterprise development helps vulnerable women, Micro Enterprise helps families.

“Let my heart be broken by the things that break the heart of God.”

You are the essential link! Your gifts initiate a process of transforming lives spiritually, economically and socially.

Your donation and support for Micro enterprise:

  • Affirms the dignity and inherent value of every poor person.
  • Provides finances, training & mentoring to create jobs for the poor.
  • Is motivated by a Christian response to serve the poor.
  • Helps bring women out of prostitution by teaching them a skill and giving them self-worth.

Any gift, regardless of the amount, will reproduce good fruit for generations to come, and open many doors for the Gospel.
